"Enta Omry" Khayamiya NO.1 Print

#1 — A print of the the first canvas of this Khayamiya Series — Enta Omry (انت عمري, “you are my life”), inspired by Umm Kulthum. Originally hand painted in Arabic calligraphy and framed with the vibrant patterns of Egyptian Khayamiya 🎨💫

Some of you might recognize this fabric — it’s called Khayamiya (خيامية). It’s an old Egyptian textile art, originally stitched by hand with those bold, geometric patterns. These cloths light up wedding tents, Ramadan nights, and street festivals in Cairo. I love bringing that history into my work — it feels like carrying a piece of celebration and heritage into a new form.
