Some of you might recognize this fabric — it’s called Khayamiya (خيامية). It’s an old Egyptian textile art, originally stitched by hand with those bold, geometric patterns. These cloths light up wedding tents, Ramadan nights, and street festivals in Cairo. I love bringing that history into my work — it feels like carrying a piece of celebration and heritage into a new form.
