#8: Pointinkk Khayamiya Series on a 6x6 chunky canvas — Ana Lak Ala Toul (أنا لك على طول, “I’m yours forever”), inspired by the legendary voice of Abdel Halim Hafiz. Originally hand painted in elegant Arabic calligraphy and wrapped in a bold blue khayamiya pattern that gives it that rich, timeless aesthetic. 💙
Some of you might recognize this fabric — it’s called Khayamiya (خيامية). It’s an old Egyptian textile art, originally stitched by hand with bold, geometric patterns. These cloths light up wedding tents, Ramadan nights, and street festivals in Cairo. Bringing that history into my work feels like carrying a piece of celebration and heritage into a new form.
